Raphael Fitz
CEO, CO-FOUNDER
In the last 25 years Raphael has developed over 31 WABIO Biogas Powerplants. He is regularly a keynote speaker on ESG-conferences, representing Germany’s ESG industry. Prior to founding WABIO, Raphael had a career as a tax lawyer.
Dr. Jochen Auerbach
CTO, CO-FOUNDER
Prior to founding WABIO Jochen had a 20 year career as scientist and Managing Director at the Institute for R&D on Waste to Energy in Leipzig. Driving the innovation of WABIO, Jochen and his team have developed and patented a series of ground breaking inventions.
Dr. Robert Kopf
HEAD OF PROJECT MANAGEMENT
Robert has a 22 years experience in planning and building Biogas power plants. He studied Engineering in Germany, with a key focus on power engineering. Dr. Kopf wrote his Ph.D. on biochemical power plants.
Martina Stegner
SENIOR ENGINEER - HEAD OF DESIGN
Martina has been with WABIO since 2011. She was a construction engineer for complex bridges and sewage treatment plants, specialised in complex concrete structures. Martina brings over 30 years of experience.
Dr. Jörn Ebel
SENIOR ENGINEER - SITE SUPERVISION
Jörn formerly worked for a daughter company of SUEZ Environment Group as a senior site engineer for combustion plants, before shifting to renewable energy. He has been working for WABIO, specifically in Serbia as a senior site engineer since 2019.
Jacek Stepien
SENIOR ENGINEER - QUALITY CONTROL
M.Sc. Eng., Jacek has been with WABIO for 18 years. He was the CEO of TÜV Poland for 4 years. He brings a solid experience in operational management, quality assurance and acts as senior supervisor on construction sites for quality control.
